Buying/renting a new house/commercial space/office building/retail shop is a long-term investment. Selecting a good date for the start of renovation, moving in to the new premises, start business or grand opening is required to ensure that you do not accidentally activate the negative Qi (such as #5 Yellow 五黃 ) or the Yearly Afflictions (such as Sui Po 歲破 and 3 Killings 三煞). If activated, it will bring about severe problems to the owners such as loss of wealth, health problems or relationship issues etc.

All these dates cannot be simply selected from the Tong Shu (Chinese Alamanc). The Tong Shu is inaccurate for this purpose as it uses only the zodiac signs of the occupants/business owners and does not factor in all their birthday, time of birth, and more importantly, the house/office/building direction. Certain houses facing/sitting certain directions must choose certain special dates to start renovation or move in/start business/grand opening ceremony, otherwise you will get the “Sha Qi” after you move in/start business/grand opening, and it may result in bad luck with lots of problems and issues.

Note that in order to calculate these dates, David will need to make a visit to your house/office space/building to measure the actual direction/bearing as this has to be done correctly and accurately using a Luo Pan (Chinese compass) and not using the given direction on a valuation report or site/floor plans. Those given directions are inaccurate from Feng Shui perspective and will lead to wrong calculations and results.
